Sat Dec 27 21:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Patriots Shuffle Roster Ahead of Jets Matchup
Foxborough, MA – With a significant number of players sidelined due to injury, the New England Patriots made several roster moves Saturday as they prepare for their Week 17 game against the New York Jets on Sunday.
Starting wide receiver Mack Hollins has been placed on injured reserve due to an abdomen injury, a blow to the Patriots offense as Hollins leads all Patriots wide receivers in snaps (657) and is third on the team in receptions (46) and receiving yards (550).
To bolster their defensive line, the Patriots signed defensive tackle Jeremiah Pharms Jr. from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Defensive lineman Leonard Taylor III and defensive back Kobee Minor were also elevated from the practice squad for Sunday’s game.
The Patriots will now be without seven players. The team will need to find ways to compensate for Hollins’ absence. While the team didn’t elevate a receiver from the practice squad, it signaled that DeMario Douglas, who was previously listed as questionable, could be available on Sunday. Along with Stefon Diggs, rookies Kyle Williams and Efton Chism III, will make up the New England’s four wideouts.
Defensive tackle Milton Williams will not be activated from injured reserve this week. Pharms and Taylor are expected to fill rotational roles alongside defensive tackles Christian Barmore, Cory Durden, and Eric Gregory.
The Patriots face the Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday at 1:00 PM ET.
