HYDERABAD, December 18, 2025 – A lorry driver was murdered on Tuesday evening on National Highway 44 in Indalwai, Nizamabad district. Police have identified two suspects, Mohammad Hammad, 25, and Mohammad Hassan, 22, both natives of Uttar Pradesh and childhood acquaintances of the victim, Mohammad Salman, 35.
According to police reports, Salman, a lorry driver from Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, was attacked near a roadside dhaba while travelling from Madhya Pradesh to Karnataka. Preliminary investigations suggest a long-standing personal dispute between the victim and the accused as the motive for the murder.
Dichpally Circle Inspector Vinod Reddy stated that the suspects allegedly attacked Salman with iron rods after arriving at the dhaba in another lorry. Initial reports suggested a firearm was also used, but discrepancies in witness accounts are being investigated.
Salman sustained severe injuries and died en route to the hospital. The suspects fled the scene, abandoning their lorry. A case has been registered at Indalwai police station, and police teams are currently searching for Hammad and Hassan.
