Horticulture Department officials stated the aim is to introduce younger audiences and visitors unfamiliar with Kannada literature to Tejaswi’s work, commemorating the 45th anniversary of his acclaimed novel, “Carvalho.”
“We are collaborating with literary experts to create floral displays that will go beyond mere decoration,” said M. Jagadeesh, Joint Director of Horticulture (Parks & Gardens) at Lalbagh Botanical Garden. “The installations will narrate aspects of Tejaswi’s ideas, characters, and worldview, making the experience informative and engaging for students and first-time readers.”
Tejaswi’s writing, known for its creative style, scientific approach, and connection to nature and society, continues to resonate with readers. “Carvalho,” in particular, has garnered attention as a Kannada science fiction novel that blends scientific inquiry with the ecology of the Western Ghats.
Organizers are finalizing the budget and developing new design concepts to ensure a fresh visual experience for visitors.
