Mon Dec 15 19:20:00 UTC 2025: Manchester United Lineup Boosted by Mbeumo, Amad Despite Looming AFCON Departure
Manchester, England – Manchester United fans received a pre-AFCON boost as Bryan Mbeumo and Amad were named in the starting lineup for tonight’s Premier League clash against Bournemouth. The duo, set to represent Cameroon and Ivory Coast respectively at the Africa Cup of Nations which starts on Sunday, were initially doubtful for the game.
Morocco’s Noussair Mazraoui, also headed to AFCON, was not involved tonight.
Manager Ruben Amorim made just one change to the side that dominated Wolves 4-1 last Monday, with Leny Yoro replacing Mazraoui in defense. Ayden Heaven retains his place for a third consecutive start, while Luke Shaw continues his consistent run in the starting XI.
Mbeumo joins Shaw and captain Bruno Fernandes in achieving the feat of starting every Premier League game this season. Mason Mount, who scored in the Wolves victory, also retains his place.
Bournemouth made a single change as well, with Tyler Adams returning from suspension to replace Alex Scott in midfield.
