Mumbai Troupe Helps Mukti Foundation Raise Funds for Persons with Disabilities

Chennai, December 14, 2025 – The Mukti – M.S. Dadha Foundation celebrated its 40th anniversary with “Udaan Utsav,” a musical evening that successfully raised funds to support individuals with disabilities in their medical and rehabilitation needs. The event, held on Saturday, featured an all-ladies troupe from Mumbai performing in support of the cause.

“This is our first public fundraiser in decades,” stated Meena Dadha, Founder and Managing Trustee of Mukti. “The funds raised will enable us to conduct more job fairs for persons with disabilities and support many from underserved communities.”

Event chair Shiv Kumar Goenka announced that the funds would provide livelihood support to over 2,000 people and free prosthetic limbs to approximately 15,000 people with locomotor disabilities. Pradeep Kumar Panja, Chairman of Karnataka Bank, emphasized the importance of societal engagement beyond financial contributions, encouraging attendees to understand the lived experiences of beneficiaries.

Ratnesh, a medical student supported by the foundation, shared his personal story of receiving a prosthetic limb after losing his leg. He credited the foundation with giving him “wings” and a chance to pursue his dreams, adding that he now mentors NEET aspirants.
