Lahore, Pakistan – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has expressed its displeasure to the International Cricket Council (ICC) over the exclusion of Pakistan’s captain, Salman Ali Agha, from a promotional poster advertising ticket sales for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

The poster features the captains of India, South Africa, Australia, Sri Lanka, and England. A PCB source stated that the issue has been raised with the ICC, emphasizing Pakistan’s strong cricketing legacy and status as a major draw in the World Cup.

“We are facing a similar situation this time as the ICC has not projected our captain on the promotional poster for ticket sales,” the source stated. This isn’t the first time Pakistan has felt slighted; a similar situation occurred during the recent Asia Cup, prompting the PCB to intervene with the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) to rectify the situation. Despite not being in the top five of the T20 rankings, the PCB is confident that the ICC will ensure the inclusion of the Pakistan captain in future promotional materials and campaigns.
