Chennai, December 11, 2025 (The Hindu) – In a move aimed at strengthening their hand in upcoming alliance negotiations, the Tamil Nadu Congress (TNCC) is bringing in its top leaders, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and party president Mallikarjun Kharge, for a series of public events across the state.
TNCC president K. Selvaperunthagai announced that Rahul Gandhi and Kharge will address a large gathering of Village Committee members, with an anticipated attendance exceeding 250,000. The rally is slated to take place in either Tiruchi, the Delta region, Chengalpattu, or Kancheepuram. Selvaperunthagai also mentioned his planned padayatra in January, which Rahul Gandhi is expected to join.
Adding to the momentum, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will participate in a Congress Mahila rally in Tamil Nadu sometime in January.

Krishnasamy, K.S. Alagiri, S. Peter Alphonse and MLA Ruby Manoharan. The committee for the Mahila rally comprises of MPs, S. Jothimani, Sudha Ramakrishnan, K. Rani, Hassena Syed, MLA Tharahai Cuthbert, and Rani Venkatesan.
