Thu Dec 11 09:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Disney+ Scores Exclusive Rights to Stream Korean LoL Tournament
SEOUL, South Korea – Streaming giant Disney+ is diving deeper into the world of esports, securing exclusive broadcasting rights for the KeSPA Cup 2025, a major League of Legends (LoL) tournament in South Korea. The announcement, made Thursday, will see the competition livestreamed across 11 Asia-Pacific regions, including Korea, Japan, and Australia, marking a significant expansion for Disney+ in the esports market.
The KeSPA Cup 2025, organized by the Korea e-Sports Association (KeSPA), kicks off this Saturday and runs until December 14th. Viewers can tune in for both Korean and English commentary, with on-demand replays available. This year’s tournament features 10 top Korean teams alongside four international contenders from Vietnam, Japan, and North America, all vying for the coveted championship title.
The group and breakout stages will be held online, culminating in the knockout stage which will be broadcast live from the Sangam SOOP Colosseum in Seoul.
This move follows a September agreement between Walt Disney Company Korea and KeSPA, granting Disney+ exclusive rights to the KeSPA Cup 2025 and content related to the Korean national esports team. The deal also includes livestreaming warmup matches for the national squad ahead of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, where esports will be a medal event.
This exclusive broadcast represents a major win for Disney+ as they aim to capture a wider audience in the Asia-Pacific region, capitalizing on the massive popularity of League of Legends and esports in general. For LoL fans, the KeSPA Cup 2025 promises to be an action-packed event, now readily accessible through the Disney+ platform.
