The character has captivated audiences, leading to widespread online trends and mimicry of his dialogues.
However, the film’s portrayal of Dakait has drawn criticism from Noreen Aslam, the widow of the late Chaudhry Aslam, a renowned Pakistani police officer known for his fight against crime. Aslam argues that the film exaggerates Dakait’s influence and unfairly elevates him.
“Rehman was not as big a don as portrayed in the movie. He was nothing in front of Aslam,” Noreen Aslam stated in a recent podcast interview. She emphasized that while Dakait was a ruthless criminal, his power was limited to a specific area and did not compare to the impact of her husband’s work.
