SSC CGL Tier 1 Results Anticipated Late December 2025
New Delhi, [Date – Assumed Today’s Date] – The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to announce the results for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier 1 examination in the last week of December 2025, according to sources within the commission. The results, including post-wise and category-wise cut-off marks, will be available on the official SSC website, http://www.ssc.gov.in.
Candidates who appeared for the exam can expect to find their names on a shortlist if they meet the cut-off scores. Those shortlisted will be eligible to proceed to Tier 2.
SSC Chairman S. Gopalakrishnan had previously indicated the late December timeframe to NDTV, citing a thorough review process as the reason for the timeline. The SSC received objections on approximately 4,500 questions from 45 different exams, including CGL Tier 1. These objections are currently being scrutinized by the original paper setters to ensure fairness and accuracy.
“We take all objections seriously and want to ensure that the results are based on the most accurate information,” Gopalakrishnan stated.
The CGL Tier 1 exam was conducted over 15 days across 255 exam centers in 126 cities. A significant 1.35 million candidates out of 2.8 million registered took the examination, which tested candidates’ skills in General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.
To access the results, candidates should visit http://www.ssc.gov.in and navigate to the “Result” section, then click on the link for “Combined Graduate Level Examination 2025-Tier 1 Result.” A PDF file containing the list of shortlisted candidates will be available for download.
Successful candidates can anticipate the Tier 2 exam being held in January or February 2026. Unlike Tier 1, Tier 2 is expected to be conducted in a significantly shorter timeframe, potentially even a single day. Candidates are advised to continue their preparations diligently.
