Hyderabad, India – December 8, 2025 – The Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 commenced today in Future City, Hyderabad, with Governor Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurating the event. The summit aims to showcase Telangana’s potential and attract investment to propel the state towards becoming a $3 trillion economy by 2047.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy outlined the state’s ambitious goals, highlighting Telangana’s contribution of 5% to India’s GDP, with a target to increase it to 10% by 2047. He emphasized the state’s strategic division into three economic zones: Core Urban Region Economy (CURE), Peri-Urban Region Economy (PURE), and Rural Agriculture Region Economy (RARE), drawing inspiration from economic powerhouses like China, Japan, Germany, South Korea, and Singapore.
The summit features participation from 44 countries with 154 delegates. Nobel laureates Kailash Satyarthi and Abhijit Banerjee attended, praising Telangana’s vision and progress in education, women empowerment, and poverty reduction.
Trump Media Technologies announced a massive investment of ₹1 lakh crore in Future City over the next ten years.
While the summit highlights development, MLC Kavitha criticized the lack of basic amenities in areas like Kukatpally and raised concerns about traffic congestion near JNTU metro station. Former minister Harish Rao criticized the current government for halting schemes initiated by the previous administration and for lacking progress in development.
The summit boasts a strong security presence with 6,000 police personnel. It features 27 sessions discussing investment opportunities and job creation for youth. A robot served as a special attraction.
