Mysuru, India – December 7, 2025 – The sounds of Christmas filled St. Philomena’s College Indoor Stadium in Mysuru today as the Catholic Association of Mysore (CAM) hosted its 21st Diocesan Carol Singing Competition. The event drew over 85 teams from across the region, representing schools (Classes 8-12), colleges, parishes, professional organizations, and institutional staff.

The day commenced with a holy mass led by the Bishop of Mysore, Most Rev. Dr. Francis Serrao S.J., followed by the formal inauguration of the competition, where the Bishop extended Christmas greetings to all participants.

Teams, ranging from eight to 45 members, performed carols in English, Kannada, and other regional languages. The performances were capped at six minutes, and children added to the festive atmosphere with enactments of the Nativity.

Organizers emphasized that the event was more than just a competition, it was a celebration of unity and the true spirit of Christmas.

Attendees included Rev. Fr. Lourdu Prasad, Rector of St. Philomena’s College, Rev. Fr. Thomas Baros, director of St. Joseph Hospital, Rev. Fr.
