Patna, Bihar – December 7, 2025 – In a move aimed at strengthening law enforcement and public safety, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has announced a series of initiatives, including the launch of an online portal to improve citizen access to police services.
Choudhary, who also holds the Home portfolio, issued strong directives during a law and order review meeting held at the police headquarters on Saturday. He ordered the immediate formation of a special task force dedicated to preventing question paper leaks, emphasizing that culprits will face strict consequences, including the confiscation of their assets.
Responding to concerns about illegal mining activities, the Deputy CM also mandated the immediate seizure and public auction of vehicles used in such operations.
The highlight of the day was the launch of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) portal. Choudhary hailed the portal as a major step towards e-governance and increased transparency in policing. He stated that the online platform will empower citizens to register complaints remotely, eliminating the need for frequent visits to police stations and fostering better collaboration between the police and the public.
