Naidu Accuses Former CM Reddy of Attempting to Compromise Theft, Murder Cases
Vijayawada, December 6, 2025 – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has leveled serious accusations against his predecessor, YSRCP President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, alleging attempts to interfere in high-profile cases. Speaking to the media Saturday, Naidu stated that Reddy tried to have the Tirumala Parakamani theft case compromised in Lok Adalat, and also interfered in the murder investigation of his uncle, Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy.
Naidu strongly condemned Reddy’s remarks that the Parakamani theft was a “small case,” arguing that such comments disrespect the sentiments of millions of devotees of Lord Venkateswara and trivializes their offerings.
“Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy showed his lack of respect for the Lord of the Seven Hills and the sanctity of Hindu temples,” Naidu asserted.
Beyond the accusations against Reddy, the Chief Minister addressed current government priorities. He affirmed the government’s focus on maintaining law and order, particularly in Vizianagaram and Nellore, where criminal activity has reportedly increased. Naidu also reported progress in the construction of the capital city, Amaravati. He stated that issues hindering development are being resolved amicably, citing positive outcomes from discussions with farmers involved in the Land Pooling Scheme. Naidu added that the LPS-2 process is proceeding smoothly with farmer consent, and despite progress, “some individuals who were unable to digest the progress were trying to create problems”
