Tarantino’s Lost ‘Kill Bill’ Chapter ‘Yuki’s Revenge’ Unleashed in Fortnite and Theaters

Los Angeles, CA – Director Quentin Tarantino is bringing a long-dormant vision to life with “The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge,” a new “Kill Bill” installment debuting in Fortnite and as part of a limited theatrical run of “Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair.”

The eight-minute animated short, starring Uma Thurman reprising her role as The Bride, was created in collaboration with Epic Games using Unreal Engine and motion capture technology. Tarantino revealed the project at a special launch event at his Vista Theater, explaining that Epic Games approached him with the idea of integrating his characters into Fortnite. However, instead of simply licensing the characters, they proposed a new short featuring them.

Tarantino unearthed a chapter from the original “Kill Bill” script that was ultimately cut due to pacing concerns. The chapter centers around Yuki, the twin sister of Gogo Yubari, seeking revenge. “It was too crazy, too violent, and just too much action,” Tarantino explained.

Thurman lauded the use of motion capture technology, which allowed her to seamlessly embody The Bride within the Fortnite universe. “It’s so novel to wear the camera on your head, but I completely forgot about it; just started to live in the moments of the scenes we were doing,” she said.

“The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge” aims to bridge the gap between “Kill Bill” fans and the Fortnite community. Adding, Thurman felt that this was a new audience for the movie and “It’s really moving. It’s really great, and I think it’s something meant to be.”

Alongside the Fortnite release, Lionsgate will present “Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair” in theaters on December 5th. This four-hour cut combines “Kill Bill Vol. 1” and “Kill Bill Vol. 2” into a single, epic feature.

“The Whole Bloody Affair” sees Thurman as The Bride, embarking on a quest for vengeance against Bill and his Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. The film stars Lucy Liu, Vivica A. Fox, Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah, Gordon Liu, Michael Parks, and David Carradine.

Tarantino expressed his desire for both “Kill Bill” and Fortnite fans to be thrilled with this unique collaboration.
