Thu Dec 04 07:55:56 UTC 2025: ## Indigo Flight Chaos Continues, Stranding Passengers and Skyrocketing Fares

Kochi, India – December 4, 2025 – Passengers flying with Indigo Airlines in India are facing a second day of widespread disruptions, with nearly 40 domestic flights to and from Kochi airport in Kerala delayed or cancelled. The chaos, stemming from skewed pilot scheduling and cabin crew no-shows in Mumbai, has led to soaring airfares across the domestic circuit.

Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) issued a travel advisory urging passengers to verify flight information with their respective airlines, acknowledging “operational constraints” affecting several domestic airlines nationwide. CIAL assures they are coordinating with airlines to minimize disruptions and support passengers.

Indigo’s website reportedly faced accessibility issues, further compounding the problem for travelers. The airline had already cancelled at least 200 flights across the country on Wednesday, with some delays reaching up to 12 hours. Airport sources suggest it may take some time before flight schedules return to normal.

Travel agents are reporting a significant spike in domestic airfares as a result of the mass cancellations and delays. The situation has left many passengers stranded and frustrated during the busy holiday season.
