December Pixel Update Arrives with Bug Fixes and Critical Security Patches
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – November 26, 2025 – Google has rolled out its December 2025 Pixel update, addressing a range of bugs and security vulnerabilities across its device lineup. In addition to the new features introduced with Android 16 QPR2, the update brings stability improvements and resolves several key issues reported by Pixel users.
The update tackles bugs across various areas including Audio, Battery & Charging, Bluetooth, Camera, Display & Graphics, Framework, Sensors, System, Telephony, Touch, User Interface, and Wi-Fi.
A widespread issue preventing the 80% charge limit from functioning correctly has been resolved for all Pixel devices [1]. Users experiencing a question mark appearing in the battery status bar icon will also find this addressed in the update.
Specifically, the Pixel 10 series [4] benefits from significant display improvements, preventing instances of screen flashing, black screens, hangs, and freezes.
Security is a key focus of the December update, with 51 security issues resolved in the 2025-12-01 patch and 56 in the 2025-12-05 patch. These vulnerabilities range from “High” to “Critical” in severity. A dedicated bulletin for Google devices lists an additional 28 security fixes.
The update is rolling out globally with regional builds available for EMEA, Japan, and Verizon.
