The raids led to the arrest of two foreign nationals suspected of being key players in the illegal drug trade.

Acting on credible intelligence, CCB officers raided a residence in the P&T Layout of Sampigehalli, apprehending Nancy Omary Lawa, a 25-year-old Tanzanian national. Lawa is accused of stockpiling 9 kg 254 g of MDMA crystals, valued at ₹18.5 crore, for distribution during the holiday season. Authorities believe she sourced the drugs from Delhi and other locations, selling them at inflated prices to local customers. Lawa had entered India on a tourist visa in 2023 and was working as a hairstylist in Bengaluru.

In a separate operation near the basketball court at Lalbagh South Gate, officers arrested Emmanuel Arinze, a 28-year-old Nigerian man, while he was allegedly peddling drugs. Arinze was found in possession of 1 kg 115 g of MDMA crystals, with an estimated value of ₹2.25 crore. He had previously been arrested for drug offenses in 2024 and had resumed drug peddling after his release from jail earlier this year. Police are now investigating his connections to other foreign peddlers and accomplices.

Further adding to the day’s success, the CCB Narcotics Wing, acting on a tip-off from Customs officials, intercepted 8 kg of hydro ganja, valued at ₹8 crore, at the Foreign Post Office in Chamarajpet.
