Delhi Chokes on “Very Poor” Air Quality for Second Consecutive Day
New Delhi – December 3, 2025 – Residents of Delhi are once again battling hazardous air quality, with the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) reporting a “very poor” Air Quality Index (AQI) of 335 this morning. This marks the second consecutive day that the city has been enveloped in toxic air, following a brief improvement over the weekend.
According to CPCB standards, an AQI between 301 and 400 is categorized as “very poor,” posing significant health risks to residents. The air quality had offered a respite on Sunday and Monday, before declining again on Tuesday.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast shallow fog for the day. The minimum temperature settled at 6.4 degrees Celsius, 3.1 degrees below the seasonal average, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach around 24 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was recorded at 100% at 8:30 AM. The current conditions highlight the ongoing challenges Delhi faces in combating air pollution, particularly during the winter months.
