Tue Dec 02 09:40:00 UTC 2025: Tirumala Temple Receives Over 2.4 Million Registrations for Vaikunta Dwara Darshan Lottery
Tirumala, India – December 2, 2025 – The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced an overwhelming response to the e-Dip registration for the first three days of Vaikunta Dwara Darshan, with a staggering 2.4 million devotees vying for a coveted spot. The temple will open the Vaikunta Dwaram, considered the gateway to salvation, from December 30th to January 8th.
Following last year’s crowd control issues, the TTD decided to implement an online lottery system for the first three days: Vaikunta Ekadasi, Dwadasi, and January 1st. Registration began on November 27th and concluded on December 1st, with 2,405,237 devotees registering through the TTD website, mobile app, and government WhatsApp governance platform.
Unfortunately, only 176,000 devotees will be granted access during these initial three days. The TTD will conduct a lottery today, and successful applicants will be notified via SMS and email after 2 PM.
In addition to the lottery, the TTD will release Srivani Trust tickets for Vaikunta Dwara Darshan from January 2nd to 8th on December 5th at 10 AM. A total of 7,000 tickets (1,000 per day) will be available online. Furthermore, Rs. 300 Special Entry Darshan tickets for the same dates will be released on December 5th at 3 PM, with 105,000 tickets (15,000 per day) allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Devotees are urged to visit the official TTD website for more information and ticket booking.
