VIRUDHUNAGAR, INDIA – December 2, 2025 – A remand prisoner identified as Kumara, 44, of Shimoga district in Karnataka, allegedly attempted to take his own life in the district jail here on Tuesday, police reported. He was immediately transported to the Government Medical College Hospital for treatment.
