Stalin today convened a review meeting at the Secretariat in Chennai to evaluate the effectiveness of the “Nalam Kaakkum Stalin” (Protecting Health Stalin) initiative. The program, launched on August 2, 2025, aims to deliver advanced medical services through specialized health camps throughout the state.

With a budget of ₹13.58 crore, the state government is funding the organization of 1,256 camps, with a focus on regions that have limited access to quality healthcare. These camps prioritize individuals over 40, those with diabetes, hypertension, mental health issues, cardiac problems, pregnant women, children experiencing developmental delays, persons with disabilities, and members of tribal communities.

According to an official release, 632 camps have been successfully conducted across Tamil Nadu to date, providing medical assistance to 986,732 people.

During the review, Chief Minister Stalin issued directives to officials to enhance basic amenities at the camps, deploy a sufficient number of volunteers to assist the public, and implement specific provisions for young mothers and individuals with disabilities.
