“Dancing With the Stars” Semi-Finalist Whitney Leavitt to Make Broadway Debut in “Chicago”
New York, NY – Whitney Leavitt, known for her appearance on “Dancing With the Stars” and her role in Hulu’s “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” is set to make her Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning revival of “Chicago.” Leavitt will step into the iconic role of Roxie Hart at the Ambassador Theatre on February 2, 2026, for a limited engagement running through March 15.
Leavitt, a Utah-based actress, dancer, and mother of three, has amassed a significant online following of over four million followers. Her social media presence showcases a blend of dance videos, family-focused comedy, and lifestyle content.
“Chicago,” now celebrating its 29th anniversary on Broadway, is the second-longest running show in Broadway history. The current cast features Kate Baldwin as Roxie Hart, Sophie Carmen-Jones as Velma Kelly, Tam Mutu as Billy Flynn, Tony winner Alex Newell as Matron “Mama” Morton, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.
The revival, directed by Walter Bobbie and featuring choreography by the late Ann Reinking, originally opened in 1996 and won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical in 1997.
