The improbable win capped off a stunning comeback for the Cardinal (6-1), who overcame a 15-point first-half deficit to claim the tournament crown.

Saint Louis (6-1) controlled the majority of the contest, holding a 47-36 lead at halftime and maintaining a cushion for much of the second half. However, Stanford chipped away, fueled by an 8-0 run that brought them within striking distance.
