LOS ANGELES, CA – Comedian Jim Gaffigan is taking his love of bourbon to the stage with his latest comedy special, “Live from Old Forester: The Bourbon Set.” Released on YouTube, the special sees Gaffigan riffing on his passion for whiskey, inspired by his recent foray into the spirits industry with the launch of his own small-batch bourbon, Fathertime.

Filmed at The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts in Louisville, KY, the special features a stage adorned with oak barrels. Gaffigan partnered with college friend Stu Pollard to create Fathertime, a high-rye Kentucky bourbon named after the moments of peace fathers earn and featuring his grandfather on the label.

“With ‘Live from Old Forester: The Bourbon Set’ I let my love of bourbon lead the way,” Gaffigan said in a statement. “At this point, I’m not sure if bourbon is a passion or a mid-life crisis, but I love it. Since this was such a niche endeavor I didn’t even go to a big streamer. I just wanted to get this material out there for the other bourbon geeks.”

The special is directed by Mike Lavin and produced by Stu Pollard, with Gaffigan, his wife Jeannie, and Alex Murray serving as executive producers. It follows the success of Gaffigan’s Hulu special, “The Skinny,” which garnered almost 100 million clip views online.
