KASARAGOD, India – November 24, 2025 – Internal tensions boiled over in the Congress party in Manjeswaram, Kasaragod, today as a dispute regarding seat allocation for the upcoming local body elections resulted in the closure of the local party office.
Furious Congress workers, led by the Mandalam president, took drastic action, locking the office and removing all furniture and equipment in protest against the District Congress Committee’s decision to transfer all three seats in Manjeswaram, Badajae, and Kunjathur divisions of the Manjeswaram block panchayat to the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).
