Pinky Singh, formerly stationed at Geja Higher Primary School in Sector 94, oversaw 1,179 voters in Sector 33 and had already processed 215 entries online.

“I am resigning from my job. I won’t be able to do this work anymore. I am neither able to teach nor perform the BLO work,” Singh wrote in her resignation letter, which has since gone viral on social media.

Singh’s resignation comes amidst a crackdown on alleged negligence and non-compliance in the SIR exercise, with authorities filing First Information Reports (FIRs) against 60 BLOs and seven supervisors. The SIR, conducted since November 4th and continuing until December 4th, aims to ensure the accuracy of electoral rolls.
