Sun Nov 23 04:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Apple TV+ Gears Up for “F1: The Movie” Streaming Debut with Black Friday Deal and Sphere Spectacle

Las Vegas, NV – Apple TV+ is pulling out all the stops to promote the upcoming streaming release of “F1: The Movie,” coinciding with the Las Vegas Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend. The tech giant is leveraging the city’s iconic Sphere to display a massive depiction of Brad Pitt’s character, Sonny Hayes, in his racing helmet.

The move comes ahead of the film’s December 12th streaming debut on Apple TV+, following its successful theatrical run earlier this year. “F1: The Movie” reportedly grossed over $600 million worldwide, a figure Apple touts as the highest-grossing sports movie of all time. Its success is seen as a significant win for Apple, particularly as its interest in traditional box office releases remains under scrutiny.

To further entice new subscribers, Apple is offering a Black Friday deal of 50% off for six months, slashing the monthly price to $5.99 from the usual $12.99. This promotion aims to capitalize on the film’s popularity and drive holiday season subscriptions to the Apple TV+ service.

While “F1: The Movie” will be exclusively available on Apple TV+ for streaming, it can be purchased or rented through other digital platforms.

Looking ahead, reports suggest Apple is planning a sequel to “F1: The Movie” with director Joseph Kosinski, who is also working with Apple on a separate untitled film about a UFO conspiracy.

Despite the success of “F1: The Movie,” Apple’s overall strategy regarding wide theatrical releases remains unclear. While the company has several original films in development, it hasn’t committed to a wide theatrical release for any of them. However, Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, recently hinted at the company’s continued interest in big box office premieres.
