Sat Nov 22 08:00:44 UTC 2025: Jake Paul Predicts Shocking Knockout Victory Over Anthony Joshua in Miami Bout

Miami, FL – Social media sensation turned boxer Jake Paul has boldly predicted a knockout victory over former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in their upcoming boxing match. The announcement came at the official launch event in Miami on Friday, where the significant size disparity between the two fighters was immediately apparent.

Despite being dwarfed by the 6’6″ Joshua, Paul, who stands at 6’1″, remained confident, asserting that his brand will only be elevated by the fight, scheduled for December 19th at the Kaseya Center in Miami. Paul went so far as to compare a potential win to Buster Douglas’s historic upset of Mike Tyson in 1990, predicting a fifth-round knockout.

“I’m here to shock the world,” Paul declared. “No one thinks I’m going to win, so join the list and be ready to be shocked.”

While many in the boxing world are questioning the match-up due to the size difference, Paul argues that his speed and agility as a smaller fighter will give him an advantage. Joshua, who typically weighs around 250 pounds, will be capped at 245 pounds for the fight.

Joshua, while acknowledging the need to take Paul seriously, also emphasized the need for a quick and decisive victory, stating, “I need to cut him up. I need to break him up and I need to hurt him. That’s just what we do.”

This will be Joshua’s first fight since his fifth-round knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024. Paul, with a 12-1 record, is coming off a victory over a 58-year-old Tyson. The upcoming bout will be an eight-round heavyweight contest streamed on Netflix.
