Sat Nov 22 11:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Houston Braces for Rainy Weekend Before Clearing Up for Thanksgiving
HOUSTON – Houston residents can expect a weekend of intermittent rain before the weather clears up for a pleasant Thanksgiving week, according to the FOX 26 Gulf Coast Weather Authority.
Today will be warm and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible, some of which could be briefly intense. A second round of rain is anticipated late tonight into early Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon should turn pleasant after the morning rain, with humidity levels dropping. Sunday promises a mix of clouds and sun with slightly cooler temperatures.
However, the threat of thunderstorms returns on Monday, especially later in the day, with potentially heavy rain Monday night into early Tuesday.
The good news is that after Monday’s disturbances, the forecast looks favorable for travel and outdoor activities during the Thanksgiving holiday. Expect drier weather with lower temperatures and humidity, making it feel much more like the holiday season. Highs are predicted to be in the 60s for Thanksgiving, with seasonably chilly air lasting into the long holiday weekend.
Residents are encouraged to check the FOX 26 weather app for the latest updates before heading out.
