Fri Nov 21 23:50:00 UTC 2025: Miami Heat Overpower Short-Handed Warriors in 110-96 Victory
MIAMI – The Miami Heat capitalized on a severely depleted Golden State Warriors team, securing a 110-96 victory on Wednesday night. Norman Powell led the Heat with 25 points, while Bam Adebayo made a triumphant return from injury, contributing 20 points.
The Warriors were missing their four highest-paid players – Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, and Jonathan Kuminga – due to a combination of injury and illness. Al Horford also sat out.
Golden State managed to keep the game competitive through three quarters, even taking a brief lead in the third. Brandin Podziemski led the Warriors with 20 points, followed by Quinten Post with 19 and Buddy Hield with 18. However, the Heat dominated the fourth quarter, outscoring the Warriors 38-22 to secure the win. Miami capitalized on 23 Golden State turnovers, converting them into 34 points.
The game was marred by poor shooting, with both teams combining for just 38.4% from the field, the second-worst mark in the NBA this season. Miami forward Andrew Wiggins scored 17 points and Kel’el Ware grabbed 16 rebounds.
Adebayo’s return after missing six games due to a toe injury provided a significant boost for the Heat, who are still awaiting the return of Tyler Herro.
The Warriors will look to bounce back at home against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday, while the Heat travel to Chicago to face the Bulls.
