Fri Nov 21 01:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Eminem & Paul Rosenberg to Curate Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Halftime Show Through 2027

DETROIT, MI – The Detroit Lions are bringing some Detroit hip-hop royalty to their annual Thanksgiving Day Classic. The team announced today a multi-year partnership with rap icon Eminem, professionally known as Marshall Mathers, and his manager Paul Rosenberg, president of Shady Records, to consult on the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Halftime Show powered by Verizon.

Under the agreement, Eminem and Rosenberg will advise the Lions on talent selection and all aspects of halftime production through 2027 for the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Classic presented by Ford.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Marshall and Paul, who are two of the most accomplished and respected names in the music industry, not to mention longtime Lions fans,” said Detroit Lions President & CEO Rod Wood. “Their reputation in the business will attract top-tier talent and help us solidify this annual performance as one of the most anticipated cultural moments on the NFL calendar.”

Rosenberg echoed the sentiment, stating, “It’s an honor for us to team up with the Lions and be a part of the greatest tradition in Detroit sports. We look forward to putting together unforgettable shows featuring world-class artists for the fans at Ford Field and the tens of millions watching around the country.”

This year’s Thanksgiving Day Classic on November 27 against the Green Bay Packers will feature electrifying musician Jack White as part of the Thanksgiving Halftime Show powered by Verizon.

In other team news, the Lions are encouraging fans to “Wear White Thursday Night” for their December 4th Thursday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys presented by the University of Michigan Credit Union. The Lions have also signed EDGE Aidan Hutchinson to a contract extension through the 2030 season.

Additionally, the team continues to recognize outstanding high school football coaches through the “Detroit Lions High School Football Coach of the Week Program, presented by Carhartt.” Recent recipients include Brent Sandee of Hudsonville High School (Week 9), Paul Reid of Saginaw Valley Lutheran High School (Week 8), Charlie Gunsell of Ludington High School (Week 7), Sam Mullett of Bear Lake High School (Week 6), Adam Kipf of Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central High School (Week 5), Jordan Hessbrook of Ithaca High School (Week 4), and Mick Enders of Portage Central High School (Week 3).

Finally, the Detroit Lions and the Koln Marathon have announced a partnership to celebrate runners’ achievements on the racecourse while introducing the Lions brand to Germany’s running community.
