Belfast – Summer Worden, 50, a former Air Force intelligence officer, pleaded guilty last week to making false statements to federal agents. The admission caps a bizarre and bitter legal battle between Worden and her estranged wife, NASA astronaut Colonel Anne McClain.

In 2019, Worden alleged that McClain, while aboard the International Space Station, illegally accessed Worden’s personal bank account. The accusation, dubbed the first alleged crime in space, triggered investigations by the Federal Trade Commission and NASA’s Inspector General.
