Thu Nov 20 17:57:56 UTC 2025: ## Karnataka Boosts Deep-Tech Startups with ₹400 Crore Investment at Bengaluru Tech Summit

Bengaluru, November 20, 2025 – The Karnataka government, in collaboration with multiple Venture Capital (VC) firms, disbursed ₹400 crore to 25 deep-tech start-ups during the Future Makers’ Conclave, a key event at the 28th edition of the Bengaluru Technology Summit. The three-day summit concluded today, marking a significant milestone in the state’s commitment to fostering technological innovation.

Six companies also received funding under the state government’s Elevate funding program. Minister for Electronics, IT & BT, Priyank Kharge, hailed the initiative as a first-of-its-kind collaboration between the government and VC community, aiming to disrupt the global tech landscape with Indian innovation.

“Together we will build an ecosystem that is unmatched,” Kharge assured the VCs, emphasizing the government’s commitment to accelerating progress. He stated that deep-tech is positioning Karnataka as the most innovative tech hub in India.

The Future Makers Conclave attracted over 11,000 attendees, including founders, entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, and ecosystem leaders. The summit, overall, saw a massive participation of 90,000 attendees, including 20,680 delegates from 57 countries and 46,389 business visitors.

The summit also provided a platform for start-ups to pitch their ideas to investors, with 146 curated pitches already completed and another 162 scheduled for next week. 1,015 exhibitors showcased their tech products and solutions. Additionally, 107 mentor and mentee sessions took place.

Minister Kharge highlighted the Elevate program, which has already funded 1,084 companies and announced 143 winners from its latest round. He praised these companies as “disruptors, innovators and future makers” inspiring the nation to solve real-world problems. The Elevate program serves as Karnataka’s platform to mentor and fund promising companies within the state.
