New Delhi, November 20, 2025 – Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced yesterday a plan to reconstitute the Shahjahanabad Redevelopment Corporation (SRDC) to address the neglected state of Old Delhi, including the historic Chandni Chowk market.

During a meeting at the Delhi Secretariat, CM Gupta acknowledged the area’s current condition and emphasized her government’s commitment to restoring its traditional character.
