Tue Nov 18 13:20:00 UTC 2025: Headline: Sadie Sink and Noah Jupe to Star in Robert Icke’s Romeo & Juliet in London
London, UK – Stranger Things star Sadie Sink is set to make her West End debut as Juliet in a new production of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, directed by the acclaimed Robert Icke. Joining her as Romeo will be Noah Jupe, known for his roles in A Quiet Place and Le Mans ’66, marking his professional theater debut.
The highly anticipated production, produced by James Bierman of Empire Productions, is slated to begin performances at the Harold Pinter Theatre on March 16th for a limited 12-week run.
Sink, a seasoned performer despite her young age, has a strong theater background, including Broadway roles in Annie and The Audience. Bierman, impressed by her performance in John Proctor Is the Villain, highlighted her “real, great stage presence.”
Icke, who directed Romeo & Juliet early in his career, aims to explore the play’s themes of time and fate. He seeks to highlight “a Juliet with dynamism and agency”.
Rehearsals are scheduled to commence in late January. The creative team includes set and costume designer Hildegard Bechtler, lighting designer Jon Clark, sound designer Tom Gibbons, and video designer Ash J. Woodward. Casting directors Julia Horan and Jim Carnahan will assist Icke with further casting.
