New Delhi – Campaigning has reached fever pitch in Delhi as the city prepares for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) by-elections on November 30th. Voters in 12 wards will head to the polls to fill vacant seats, nearly nine months after the Assembly elections. Fifty-one candidates are vying for the positions, with women making up over half the candidates.

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is emphasizing its record on sanitation, public health, and infrastructure development. Delhi CM Rekha Gupta said voters should reaffirm that Najafgarh is united on the path of development and the Delhi BJP chief encouraged voters to vote before lunch.
