Tue Nov 18 11:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Bruins Hit Hard by Injuries Despite Recent Winning Streak

Boston, MA – The Boston Bruins continue their impressive run, securing their eighth win in the last nine games with a 3-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday. However, the team’s success is being threatened by a growing list of injuries.

The Bruins suffered a significant blow during the Canadiens game when star defenseman Charlie McAvoy took a puck to the face and will be sidelined for an undisclosed amount of time.

Adding to their woes, forwards Viktor Arvidsson and Casey Mittelstadt have been placed on injured reserve. Arvidsson, injured on November 15th, boasts six goals and four assists in 20 games, while Mittelstadt (injured November 6th) has contributed four goals and five assists. Defenseman Jordan Harris (injured October 21st) has also been moved to long-term injured reserve.

In response to the mounting injuries, the Bruins have recalled forwards Matej Blumel and Riley Tufte from Providence.

Head Coach Marco Sturm faces a challenge piecing together his lines as the Bruins prepare to face the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday at 7 p.m. ET. Despite the setbacks, the team’s recent success and Sturm’s ability to adapt offer hope as they aim to maintain their winning momentum.
