Andhra Pradesh Farmers to Receive ₹7,000 Boost Ahead of Rabi Season

Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh – November 17, 2025 – The coalition government in Andhra Pradesh is delivering on its promise to support farmers, announcing the release of the second installment of the ‘Annadata Sukhibhava – PM Kisan’ scheme funds. Starting Wednesday, ₹7,000 will be directly deposited into the accounts of eligible farmers to aid them in preparing for the Rabi season.

Chief Minister Chandrababu will inaugurate the disbursement program in Pendlimarri, Kamalapuram constituency of Kadapa district. The funds comprise ₹5,000 from the state government and ₹2,000 from the central government.

According to agricultural officials, approximately 2.65 lakh farmers in the Kurnool district who have completed their e-KYC will receive a total of ₹185.50 crore. The final list of beneficiaries is expected to be released on Tuesday.

This initiative follows a similar disbursement event on August 2nd. District Collector Dr. A. Siri and agriculture officials are working to ensure a smooth distribution process, with local MPs, MLAs, and corporation chairpersons involved in the disbursement across various constituencies.

Agriculture is the primary source of income in Kurnool district. While the Kharif season saw significant crop damage due to heavy rains impacting cotton, chili, and onion farmers, the Rabi season offers renewed hope. The government’s financial assistance aims to alleviate the burdens faced by farmers and provide a much-needed boost as they prepare for the upcoming planting season.

During the election, then opposition leader Chandrababu had promised ₹20,000 investment assistance through Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, including central grants.

The “Annadata Sukhibhava” scheme was a key promise in the coalition’s manifesto, guaranteeing support to farmers.
