Sun Nov 16 01:00:00 UTC 2025: Headline: Early Paul Walker Sitcom “Throb” Lost to Time, Difficult to Find

Los Angeles, CA – Before he was tearing up the streets as Brian O’Conner in the “Fast & Furious” franchise, the late Paul Walker, like many actors, was building his resume with smaller roles. One such role, his part as Jeremy Beatty in the 1980s sitcom “Throb,” is now proving difficult for fans to revisit.

“Throb,” which aired for two seasons in syndication from 1986 to 1988, starred Diana Canova as Sandy Beatty, a divorced woman navigating the hip, young world of an independent record label in Manhattan. A young Paul Walker, credited as Paul W. Walker, played her son Jeremy in the first season, appearing in 12 of the show’s 48 episodes. However, Walker was replaced by Sean de Veritch after the first season. The show also featured future “Frasier” star Jane Leeves.

While “Throb” was a “charming little show” in its day, according to SlashFilm, it has largely disappeared from mainstream availability. Unlike many popular shows that can be streamed or purchased, “Throb” is not available through conventional means. The only place to watch episodes is on YouTube, where the quality is noticeably poor.

The disappearance of “Throb” highlights a broader trend of older television shows fading into obscurity. The difficulty in accessing “Throb” serves as a reminder that media can be lost or essentially deleted, as exemplified by recent content removals from streaming platforms. This lack of accessibility prevents fans from seeing early works from actors like Paul Walker, and may be a fate for many shows from the era.
