Cowboys Seek to Break Losing Streak Against Kansas State, Honor Justin Blackmon
STILLWATER, OK – The Oklahoma State Cowboys (1-8, 0-6 Big 12) will look to snap an eight-game losing streak this Saturday as they face the Kansas State Wildcats (4-5, 3-3 Big 12) at Boone Pickens Stadium. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
The Cowboys, who haven’t won a conference game since 2023, face a tough challenge as the Wildcats enter as significant 19.5-point favorites. Kansas State, despite an inconsistent season, is coming off a bye week and will look to build on their recent victory over Kansas.
Beyond the gridiron action, Saturday’s game will feature a special ceremony as former Cowboys star wide receiver Justin Blackmon is inducted into the Oklahoma State Ring of Honor.
Blackmon, a two-time Fred Biletnikoff Award winner (2010, 2011), is one of the most decorated receivers in college football history. His sophomore year (2010) saw him set an NCAA record with 1,782 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns. He also set NCAA records with 14 straight games with at least 100 receiving yards and 14 straight games with at least 100 receiving yards and a touchdown. He finished his Oklahoma State career with 253 receptions for 3,564 yards and 42 touchdowns.
The induction ceremony promises to be a highlight for Cowboys fans as they celebrate Blackmon’s remarkable achievements while hoping for an upset victory over the Wildcats.
