New Delhi – November 16, 2025 – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has cracked down on a significant money laundering operation linked to drug trafficking in Delhi, freezing 110 “mule” bank accounts and seizing ₹70 lakh in cash. The ED’s investigation, triggered by a Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) complaint from November 2024, revealed the use of Dubai-based cryptocurrency wallets for transferring illicit funds.

Raids were conducted across five locations in Delhi-NCR and Jaipur on November 14th, uncovering evidence of an online betting and gambling network operating through mobile applications. According to an ED statement released Sunday, 73 of the frozen accounts were linked to UPI IDs and digital wallets used for betting transactions.

The NCB’s original complaint related to the seizure of 82.53 kg of high-grade cocaine, estimated to be worth ₹900 crore. The ED’s searches have also yielded incriminating documents, digital devices, and financial records that are currently under investigation. The probe is ongoing.
