Star Air Secures ₹150 Crore in Funding to Expand Fleet
NEW DELHI, November 14, 2025 – Bengaluru-based regional airline Star Air has announced the successful completion of a ₹150 crore Series B funding round. The investment, secured from a consortium of prominent investors including pharmaceutical giant Micro Labs Limited and Deepak Agarwal of Bikaji Foods, will be used to fuel the airline’s ambitious fleet expansion plans.
According to CEO Simran Singh Tiwana, the funds will allow Star Air to “accelerate fleet expansion, enhance route efficiency, and further invest in NSOP [Non-scheduled operations or charter flights] and MRO [maintenance and research] capabilities.” The airline, currently operating with a fleet of nine aircraft, aims to grow to 50 aircraft by 2030.
