Rams Receive Crucial Injury Boost Ahead of 49ers Rematch

Los Angeles, CA – The Los Angeles Rams received encouraging news on Friday regarding the health of key players as they prepare for their Week 10 showdown against the San Francisco 49ers. Quarterback Matthew Stafford, who has been enjoying a strong start to the season, will have his top target Puka Nacua at his disposal.

Head coach Sean McVay confirmed that Nacua, who had been dealing with an injury, is “good to go” for Sunday’s game. Nacua himself expressed optimism, stating that he felt good after Thursday’s practice. He even joked about being ready to “get a couple back slaps on Sunday” and “roll” against the 49ers.

“Captain 9’s got us moving in the right direction,” Nacua said of Stafford, whose performance has sparked early MVP buzz.

In addition to Nacua’s return, wide receiver Jordan Whittington, who was listed as questionable due to a back-to-back DNP is also expected to play.

The team also gets a defensive boost with the return of cornerback Darious Williams, who missed last week’s game with a shoulder injury. While Tutu Atwell remains on injured reserve, the Rams’ receiving corps is trending in a positive direction.

Defensive additions include cornerback Roger McCreary, acquired from the Tennessee Titans before the trade deadline, joins Cobie Durant and Emmanuel Forbes. The Rams’ secondary will be strong, if they can get Ahkello Witherspoon (collarbone) back from injured reserve.

Although Alaric Jackson, Byron Young, and Tyler Higbee did not participate in Friday’s practice, McVay clarified that their absence was for rest purposes and they will be available for the game.

The Rams (6-2) are looking to continue their momentum against the 49ers.
