New Delhi, November 10, 2025: A 23-year-old man has been arrested in Delhi for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a six-year-old boy in the Subhash Place area of north-west Delhi. Mohd. Samem, also known as Bithra, was apprehended after an overnight search operation led police to the injured child near railway tracks.

According to police reports, the boy’s mother reported him missing around 3:18 a.m. on November 4th. She stated that he had gone to a nearby shop the previous evening and failed to return. Authorities immediately launched a search operation and registered an FIR under kidnapping charges.

Extensive review of CCTV footage and widespread circulation of the missing child’s photo throughout the area and neighboring police stations eventually led to the boy’s discovery in bushes near railway lines. He was found injured and immediately transported to a hospital for treatment.

Following the child’s discovery, police apprehended Mohd. Samem in Shakurbasti. He confessed to kidnapping and assaulting the boy, citing a personal grudge as the motive. The investigation is ongoing.
