New Delhi, November 10, 2025 – The centuries-old ‘Phool Walon Ki Sair’ festival, a symbol of religious harmony in Delhi, is back on track after Lieutenant-Governor V.K. Saxena intervened. The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) had initially granted only “limited permission,” causing organizers to postpone the event.
According to Raj Niwas, the DDA has now granted full permission for the festival to proceed. It is anticipated to take place between February and March of 2026. L-G Saxena has warned that any officer found to be obstructing public interest will be subject to disciplinary action.
However, the Anjuman Sair-e-Gul Faroshan society, the festival’s organizers, have stated that they are yet to receive official confirmation from the DDA regarding the change in permission.
