ALAPPUZHA, INDIA – NOVEMBER 9, 2025 – The Government Higher Secondary School in Paravur, Alappuzha, is set to be renamed after former Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan. The General Education department has initiated the process following a request from former Minister G. Sudhakaran to current General Education Minister V. Sivankutty.

Minister Sivankutty informed Mr. Sudhakaran that the department has already begun procedures to honor the former Chief Minister, who received his upper primary education at the school.
