Sun Nov 09 05:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Devin Booker’s Love for Lowriders Drives New Sneaker Design, Fuels On-Court Success
PHOENIX, AZ – Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker is making waves both on and off the court. Known for his impressive car collection, particularly his vintage Chevy Impalas, Booker is now incorporating his automotive passion into his signature Nike shoe line.
Booker’s deep appreciation for lowrider culture is no secret, and his garage boasts a stunning array of classic vehicles, including multiple vintage Impalas dating back to 1957. A highlight is his pristine ’96 Impala, which as of December 18, 2024, had only 86 miles on the odometer. Now, the iconic Chevy Impala logo is featured prominently on his new Nike Book 1 PE shoe, mirroring the design of his beloved ’96 edition.
This isn’t the first time Booker’s automotive enthusiasm has crossed over into his brand. He previously released the Devin Booker X Chevrolet shoe and apparel collection in 2025, showcasing his love for classics like his 1987 Buick Grand National and trio of 1972 Chevy Blazers.
Beyond the aesthetic appeal, Booker’s signature shoe line seems to be impacting his performance on the court. Since debuting his first shoe, Booker’s field goal percentage has jumped to 47.8%, and his free throw percentage has soared to 88.8%. His assist numbers have also seen a significant increase, averaging seven assists per game compared to 4.8 before the shoe line’s release. His scoring has also improved, averaging 26.6 points per game compared to 23.9 before his signature shoe was released.
Booker debuted the Impala-inspired Nike Book 1 PE shoes on November 8th against the LA Clippers at the Intuit Dome. He is looking to capitalize on the momentum, shooting 46.9/36.4/100 shooting splits against the Clippers in two games this year with three steals.
It appears Devin Booker’s passion for classic cars is not only influencing his style but also driving his success on the court. Suns fans are hoping this trend continues as the team looks to build on their recent wins.
