Sun Nov 09 05:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Kendrick Lamar Dominates 2026 Grammy Nominations
Los Angeles, CA – Kendrick Lamar is leading the pack for the 68th Grammy Awards with a staggering nine nominations, including nods for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year. This comes after Lamar’s successful 2025 Grammy sweep, where he took home more awards than any other artist.
Lamar’s nominations are largely attributed to his album “GNX” and hit single “Luther” featuring SZA. The Recording Academy also recognized Lamar’s additional collaborations with SZA and Clipse.
Trailing behind Lamar is Lady Gaga with seven nominations, including Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album. Cirkut, Gaga’s co-producer, and Jack Antonoff also received seven nominations. Bad Bunny and Sabrina Carpenter each secured six nominations.
Leon Thomas, a rising star, is nominated for Best New Artist and Album of the Year. Other Best New Artist nominees include KATSEYE, Olivia Dean, The Marías, Lola Young, sombr, Alex Warren, and Addison Rae.
In the rap categories, Clipse received five nominations for their comeback album “Let God Sort Em Out” after a 16-year hiatus. Doechii also earned five nominations for her viral single “Anxiety”. Tyler, the Creator, despite his criticisms of the Academy’s genre categorization, is nominated for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song, Best Alternative Album, Album of the Year, and Best Album Cover.
The 68th Grammy Awards will introduce two new categories: Best Album Cover and Best Traditional Country Album.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for February 1, 2026, in Los Angeles.
