Thunder Strike Down Clippers, Extend Winning Streak to Eight Games

INGLEWOOD, CA – The Oklahoma City Thunder continued their dominant start to the season, securing a decisive 126-107 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night. The win marks the Thunder’s eighth consecutive victory, setting a new franchise record for the longest winning streak to open a season.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the charge with an impressive 30 points and 12 assists. Isaiah Joe contributed 22 points, while Cason Wallace and Aaron Wiggins each added 12 points. The Thunder overcame an early deficit, fueled by a strong offensive performance and stifling defense in the second half.

The Clippers, playing without key players Kawhi Leonard (ankle) and Bradley Beal (knee), struggled to keep pace with the Thunder’s momentum. James Harden led the Clippers with 25 points, while John Collins added 17.

After trailing by as many as 13 points in the first half, the Thunder turned the tide late in the third quarter. A three-pointer by Aaron Wiggins gave Oklahoma City the lead for good, and an 8-2 run closed out the quarter with the Thunder up 94-86. An 11-0 run to start the fourth quarter sealed the victory for Oklahoma City.

Looking Ahead:

  • The Thunder travel to Portland to face the Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.
  • The Clippers will look to rebound when they visit the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night.
